Ingredients
- 1/2 cup butter (1 stick), softened
- 1 cup firmly packed brown sugar
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 cup buttermilk (or 1 cup milk + 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice, let sit for 10 minutes at room temp and shake or stir)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups flour
- 3/4 cup Dutch Process or partially Dutch Processed cocoa powder (I used Hershey's Dark)
- 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips
- Powdered sugar, for dusting
