• 1 tbsp of grated ginger
• 1/2 half teaspoon thyme
• 1/2 teaspoon salt
• 1/4 teaspoon of white pepper
• 3 ounces of Makers Mark bourbon
• 1/3 cup of dark brown sugar
• splash of real maple syrup to moisten, not pancake syrup
• 12 ounces of crispy cooked bacon crumbled
• Topping
• 3/4 cup of toasted chopped pecans
• toasted in three tbsp. of nutty browned butter
• 1/4 tsp of cinnamon
• several shakes of bacon salt
• 1/4 cup brown sugar
• half a dozen crushed club crackers

Description

A Twisted Version Of The Hearty Boys Mashed Sweet Potato Casserole. Wanted To Make It A Little Brighter In The Flavor Profile And Used The Lemon-thyme And Lemongrass, Lime Juice To Cut The Inherent Sweetness.
