It Used - To - Be Vegetarian Lasagna Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1/2 lb sweet Italian sausage
  • 1/2 lb hot italian sausage
  • 8 dried lasagna noodles
  • 15 oz can tomato sauce
  • 15 oz can diced tomatoes (I used the Progresso italian seasoning one)
  • 1 cup chopped celery
  • 1 cup chopped onion
  • 1/2 cup chopped green sweet pepper
  • 10 oz. package of frozen chopped broccoli (fresh is better if you have the time)
  • 1/2 cup chopped red sweet pepper
  • 1/2 tspn dried basil crushed
  • 1/2 tspn dried oregano, crushed
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 1 (+++) clove garlic, minced
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 2 cups fat-free (or not) ricotta cheese
  • 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup shredded part skim (again...or not) mozzarella cheese
  • 1/8 tspn salt
  • 1/4 tspn pepper

Description

This Was A Veggie Lasagna Recipe I Found... But I Had Some Sweet And Hot Italian Sausages On Hand.... And As They Say... Oh Well!!
