- 1 onion , sliced
- 2 green/red chilli , slit
- 2 tbsp tamarind juice
- 3 tsp instant sambar powder Or make your own
- ( sambar powder include roasted 1 tsp lentils, 2 tsp coriander pwd , 1 tsp red chili pwd , 1/2 tsp fenugreek seeds, and curry leaves ) - then powdered
