- 3 to 6 oz. cooked salmon (or a 3 to 4 oz can)
- 5 tbsp butter, separated (2,1,2)
- I clove garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1/2 lb asparagus, trimmed and cut into 1â pieces
- 1 small shallot, chopped
- 2 tbsp flour
- 1 1/2 cup milk
- 1 tbsp Dijon mustard (nice spicy one! I used a horseradish dijon)
- 3/4 tsp dried dill (or 1 tbsp chopped fresh)
- salt and pepper to taste
- 2 thick slices Italian bread
- 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley or fresh dill
