Ingredients
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 2 1/2 lbs chicken breasts ( I usually use three to four chicken breasts)
- 3 oz baby portabella mushrooms, sliced
- 1 green pepper, chopped
- 2 large garlic cloves, minced
- 2 -3 cherry peppers, chopped. Add ½ - 1 oz of the juice also.
- 1 red onion or 2 -3 shallots, chopped
- 1 cup white wine
- 2 tablespoons chicken stock
- 1 1/2 cup vodka sauce
- 1/2 pint heavy cream
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1 teaspoon parsley
- 1 teaspoon basil (finely chopped)
- salt and black pepper
- flour to thicken sauce if necessary (preference)
- crushed red pepper flakes ( if you want it hot)
- 1 lb rigatoni pasta, cooked and drained
