Ingredients
- 1 cup onion, chopped (I omitted the onions)
- 1 tablespoon butter, melted for cooking onions (corn oil)
- 1 egg or egg substitute, beaten (2 if omitting milk)
- 1/2 cup milk
- 2 cups self-raising flour, sifted
- 2 tablespoons flat leaf parsley, fresh or 1 teaspoon dried parsley (or other herbs of your choice! i like to use basil, thyme, dill weed and oregano)
- 1 pinch salt, sifted
- 1 tablespoon butter (2 tbs corn oil)
- approx 1 1/2 cups tasty cheese or cheddar cheese, grated
- approx 3/4 cup tomato sauce, cooking sauce
