Great Vegetarian Chili Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 cup of textured vegetable protein
  • enough hot liquid to reconstitute ( vegetable, chicken or beef broth, or water )
  • 1 green bell pepper chopped
  • 1 small onion diced
  • 1 clove garlic minced
  • 6 to 8 white mushrooms sliced
  • 1 cup marinara or favorite tomato sauce or as desired
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • Condiments: grated mozzarella cheese, chopped fresh cilantro, sour cream or thick Greek yoghurt
  • optional vege choices: ( plain grilled corn kernals,diced green or yellow sqaush, diced sweet potatoes etc etc )
  • Beans: yes add some if you wish

I Made A Gallon Of This For Labor Day. Never Told Anyone It Was Vegetarian. It Was A Hit And None Left Over. I Served This With A Green Salad And Raspberry Cornmeal Muffins. Condiments Like Grated Cheese And Chopped Cilantro Were Served On The Side TVP
