Ingredients

  1. 1 pound extra-sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
  2. 1/2 pound Monterey Jack cheese, shredded
  3. 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  4. 2 garlic cloves, halved
  5. 1 cup dry white wine
  6. 3 tablespoons whiskey
  7. Salt and freshly ground pepper
  8. Crusty bread, breadsticks and carrot sticks, for serving
