- 1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
- 3/4 teaspoon freshly grated nutmeg
- Pinch of white pepper
- 2 pounds fresh spinach, large stems discarded
- 1/4 pound bacon, cut into 1/4-inch strips
- 4 large garlic cloves, minced
- 1/4 cup finely chopped walnuts
