- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 large onion, thinly sliced
- One 1/2-inch piece of ginger, peeled and sliced paper-thin
- 1/2 cup canned whole tomatoes with juice, chopped
- 1 pound large shrimp, shelled and deveined
