Ingredients

- Fresh-ground black pepper
- 4 3-inch-long strips orange zest
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 12-ounce package fresh or frozen cranberries (about 3 cups)
- 1 tart apple, such as Granny Smith, peeled, cored, and cut into 1/2-inch chunks
- 1 cup raisins
- 2/3 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup apple juice
- 4 teaspoons cider vinegar
- 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1/2 cup orange juice (from about 1 orange)
