Five-meat Chilli Con Carne

Ingredients

  • 4 rashers smoked streaky bacon
  • 350g minced beef
  • 450g sausagemeat
  • 350g diced stewing steak
  • 1 1/2 onions, chopped
  • 3-4 cloves garlic, finely chopped
  • 1 stick celery, chopped
  • 1-2 fresh chillies, seeded and chopped or to taste
  • 1/2 large green pepper, chopped
  • 1/2 large red pepper, chopped
  • 2 (500g) cartons passata
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons ground cumin
  • 280g cooked chicken, diced
  • 3 (400g) tins chopped tomatoes
  • 1 (410g) tin cannellini beans, rinsed and drained
  • 1 (400g) tin pinto beans, rinsed and drained
  • 1 (410g) tin butter beans, rinsed and drained
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 175ml soured cream

Description

This Recipe Will Take Some Preparation Time, But The End Result Is So Worth It. This Dish Is Heavy On The Carne, With Five Types Of Meat, It Really Is A Meaty Dish. Serve With Rice And/or Cornbread.
