- 1 18-oz. can tomato sauce
- 1 C. water
- 1 15.5-oz. can pinto beans, drained
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- Jalapeno Buttermilk Biscuits:
- 2 C. all-purpose flour
- 1 Tbs. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. baking soda
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/4 C. chilled lard or shortening, cut into pieces
- 2 small jalapeno chilies, seeded and minced
- 1 C. buttermilk
