- 1 15-19 oz. can chickpeas/garbanzo beans, drained (you could also soak your own)
- 1/2 med. white onion, finely chopped
- 4 cloves garlic, finely chopped
- 2 Tbs. parsley, chopped
- 2-3 Tbs. all purpose flour
- 2 tsp. cumin
- 3/4 tsp. baking powder
- salt and pepper
- 2-3 Tbs. olive oil
- Tahini Sauce:
- 1/2 C. tahini (sesame seed paste)
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 3/4 tsp. salt
- 2 1/2 Tbs. olive oil
- 1/4 C. lemon juice
- 2 tsp. parsley, finely chopped
- 2 tsp. cilantro, finely chopped
- 1/4 tsp. ground cumin
- 1/2 tsp. warm water
