Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/3 teaspoon chopped fresh thyme
  • 1 pound chicken, livers, halved, and, trimmed
  • 1/4 cup brandy
  •     or 1/4 cup port
  • 1/4 cup cream cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon dry mustard
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1/4 teaspoon allspice
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 2 tablespoons finely chopped fresh parsley
