- 4 ounces extra sharp white cheddar cheese, cut in scant 1/2-inch cubes
- 4 eggs, separated
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
- 3/4 cup pure maple syrup
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- 1/4 cup whipping cream
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
