Jimbalaya

Ingredients

4 Tbsp butter
 
4 Tbsp oil
 
3 large onions, chopped
 
6 oz mushrooms, chopped
 
3 large celery stalks, chopped
 
2 green peppers
 
5 chicken breasts (boneless), cubed
 
1/2 lb smoked ham, cubed
 
1/2 lb spicy sausage, cubed
 
1 smoked pork chop, cubed
 
2 cloves garlic
 
1 tsp thyme
 
2 oz salsa (hot)
 
2 tsp cajun seasoning (Club Supreme the best)
 
2 bay leaves
 
1/2 tsp pepper
 
2 1/4 cups long grain rice
 
5 cups water
 
2 tsp vegeta (mixed in above water, use 3 oz extra water for creamier texture)
 
1/2 lb shrimp, optional

Description

This Jimbalaya Recipe Is Made With Chicken, Am And Pork Sausages Along With Rice And Fresh Vegetables. Cooked And Baked, This Chicken And Sausage Jimbalaya With Vegetables Is Filling And Very Savory. I Add Shrimp To This But It Is Optional.
