1 6-ounce package frozen pea pods
2 cups sliced fresh mushrooms, (about 5 ounces)
2 carrots, cut in thin sticks about 3 inches long
2 ribs celery, cut in thin sticks about 3 inches long
1 onion, cut in thin wedges
1 red pepper, cut in thin strips
2 teaspoons instant chicken bouillon granules
1/4 cup soy sauce
1/4 cup cold water
3 tablespoons dry sherry
1 tablespoon dark corn syrup
1 tablespoon vinegar
4 teaspoons cornstarch
1/8 teaspoon freshly ground pepper
