- 8 slices baon, 2 onions, 2-8 oz pkgs. sliced button or cremini mushrooms or a mix of both, 1-12oz can of beer, 2 sweet peppers preferably in different colors, 2 carrots, 2-28oz cans of diced plum tomatoes, 1- 6oz can tomato paste, 2 TBL maple syrup or brown sugar, 10 garlic cloves, 2 whole bay leaves, 2 Tbl, dried basil, 2 Tbl dried. 1/4 tsp of hot sauce or hot chili flakes, 1/4 tsp black pepper
