Table salt
Pinch red pepper flakes (opt.)
1/3 c. extra-virgin olive oil
1# pasta, preferably linguine or spaghetti
1 oz (1/2 c.,) Parmesan cheese, grated
Add'l. up to 1/2 c. Parmesan cheese, grated, for serving
