Corn Chowder - Fannie Farmer Cookbook

Ingredients

    2-inch cube salt pork
    1 onion, chopped fine
    4 med. potatoes, peeled and diced
    3 c. water
    2 c. corn kernels (frozen OK)
    3 c. milk (1% OK - will be thin)
    3 Tbsp. butter
    salt to taste (1/2 tsp.)
    fresh ground pepper to taste (1/2 tsp)

Description

Note: I Couldn't Find Nutritional Info For Rendered Salt Pork Fat, So I Substituted 2 Tbsp. Lard To Calculate The Recipe's Nutritional Data. I Also Exluded The Salt Pork Meat, Which I Did Not Eat And For Which I Cannot Find Nutritional Data.
