- 2 Tbsp. dark soy sauce

- 2 Tbsp. cornstarch
- 1 tsp Chinese five-spice pwdr
- Â Â Freshly-cracked black pepper to taste
- 3 x diagonally thinly-sliced scallions for garnish
- 1/2 c. smoked whole almonds for garnish
