  • 1 lb dry navy beans rinsed
  • 4 c. water
  • 2 whl chicken breasts skinned, boned,
  •     and cut into 1" pcs
  • 8 ounce cooked ham cut in 1" pcs
  • 3 lrg carrots sliced
  • 2 med onions coarsely minced
  • 1 x celery stalk sliced
  • 1/4 c. brown sugar - (firmly packed)
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp dry mustard
  • 1/4 tsp freshly-grnd black pepper
  • 1 can tomato sauce - (8 ounce)
  • 2 Tbsp. molasses
