Quail In Rose Petal Sauce Recipe

Ingredients

  • 8 x Fresh chestnuts - (to 10)
  •     (or possibly 1/2 c. chestnut puree)
  • 2 Tbsp. Butter
  • 4 x Garlic cloves peeled, sliced
  • 1 tsp Anise seed
  • 10 x Red or possibly pink roses with open blooms,
  •     petals only, unsprayed
  • 1 lrg Red "tuna" cactus fruit,
  •     or possibly the meat of 1 large or possibly 2 small meat
  •     plums, such as Elephant Heart or possibly Santa
  •     Rosa, peeled, seeded and minced
  • 1 c. Chicken stock or possibly water
  • 2 Tbsp. Honey
  •     Salt to taste
  • 1/4 tsp Freshly-grnd white pepper
  •     Red food color
  • 8 x Quail, fresh, or possibly frzn and thawed cleaned
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  •     Freshly-grnd black pepper to taste
  • 8 x Garlic cloves peeled
  • 1 sm White onion peeled, and
  •     cut into eighths
