Ingredients
- 2 Tbsp. oil
- 1 med onion, sliced
- 3 clv garlic
- 1 Tbsp. chopped ginger
- 1/2 c. cilantro, minced
- 1 tsp garam masala or possibly curry pwdr
- 1 Tbsp. grnd coriander
- 1 tsp grnd cumin
- 1 tsp cayenne pepper
- Â Â Salt to taste
- 5 c. mixed vegetables (peas, zucchini, carrots, cabbage, bell pepper, etc.)
- 2Â 1/2 c. rice (preferably basmati)
- 4 c. water
- 1 Tbsp. oil
- 5 x cardamom pods
- 1 tsp black peppercorns (optional)
- Â Â Cinnamon stick
- 1Â 1/2 tsp cumin seeds
- Â Â Salt to taste
