Mixed Vegetable Stir Fry Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1/2 c. vegetable broth
  • 1 Tbsp. Chinese rice wine or possibly dry sherry
  • 1 Tbsp. soy sauce
  • 2 tsp sugar
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1 Tbsp. veg. oil
  • 1/2 tsp chopped garlic
  • 1/2 tsp chopped ginger
  • 1/2 c. sliced carrots
  • 1/2 c. sliced lotus root
  • 1/2 c. sliced jicama
  • 1/2 c. sliced zucchini
  • 8 x white button mushrooms
  • 2 Tbsp. water
  • 1/2 c. red bell pepper in 1" squares
  • 4 x asparagus spears trimmed, and
  •     cut diagonally into 1 1/2" lengths
  • 2 tsp cornstarch dissolved in
  • 1 Tbsp. water
