  • 1 cup onion, chopped
  • 1 cup thinly sliced red bell pepper (about 1 medium)
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tablespoon paprika
  • 1 tablespoon tomato paste
  • 1 teaspoon caraway seeds
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/8 to 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (if not using hot paprika)
  • 1 (14.5-ounce) can diced tomatoes, undrained
  • Egg noodles, for serving
