  • 1/2 cup dried cranberries
  • 1 cup apple or pear cider
  • 1 recipe cornbread cooled and broken into chunks
  • 1 cup wild rice cooked according to package instructions
  • 4 ripe pears peeled cored and diced
  • 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter melted
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh flat-leaf parsley
  • 4 scallions trimmed white parts chopped
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh sage
  • 1 tablespoon finely chopped garlic
  • 1 tablespoon table salt; more to taste
  • 2 teaspoons freshly ground black pepper; more to taste

  • 1/2 cup pure maple syrup
