Berry Twist Bread

Ingredients

  •   Dough:
  • 3/4 cup  milk
  • 1/4 cup  sugar
  • 3 tablespoons  butter or margarine
  • 1/2 teaspoon  salt
  • 1 package  active dry yeast
  • 1/4 cup  warm water (105 degrees F to 115 degrees F)
  • 2   eggs
  • 3-3/4 cups  all-purpose flour
  •   Filling:
  • 1/3 cup  seedless raspberry jam
  • 2 tablespoons  blanched slivered almonds, coarsely chopped
  •   Glaze:
  • 1   egg white

Description

The Shape For This Yeast Bread Is Made By Rolling The Dough Into Squares And Topping It With Raspberry Jam And Almonds. The Dough Is Then Rolled Up, Cut Lengthwise In Half, And The Two Strips Are Twisted Together.
