Sugared Candy Fruits

Ingredients

  • 1 3-ounce package  flavored gelatin in color and flavor to best match each fruit. For lemons or pears, use lemon (yellow) gelatin. For apples, use red (cherry) gelatin.
  • 1/2 cup  pecans, finely ground
  • 1/2 cup  flaked coconut
  • 1/3 cup plus 1 tablespoon  sweetened condensed milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon  vanilla
  •   Food coloring and decorative sugar appropriate for fruit
  •   Toothpicks (to shape fruit)
  •   Green gumdrops (for leaves)
  •   Whole cloves (for stems)
