Pan-Roasted Duck Breasts with Spiced Rice and Chunky Apple Chutney

Ingredients

Rice:
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
1 pinch allspice
1/2 teaspoon curry powder
1 teaspoon kosher salt
1 1/2 cups basmati rice

Chutney:
2 pippin apples , cored and cut into 1/4-inch cubes
1 tablespoon minced fresh ginger
2 tablespoons chopped scallions , plus additional for garnish
2 tablespoons honey
1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
1 tablespoon white wine vinegar
1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
1/2 cup apple juice

Duck:
2 tablespoons olive oil
2 duck breasts , halved, skin removed
Kosher salt and freshly ground pepper
