Suggest a better descriptionDate Filling: Mix date filling ingredients & simmer until thickened. Preheat oven to 375F, prepare pans. Measure sugar, egg, salt, shortening & date filling into a bowl. Beat vigorously until smooth. Add bran. Add flour & baking soda, then milk. Stir ONLY to moisten ingredients. Spoon into pans & let stand for 3 mins. Bake for 20 mins or until done.
