  • 2 teaspoons bread improver
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground allspice
  • 1 teaspoon finely grated lemon rind
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 egg, lightly whisked
  • 20g butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup (90g) sultanas
  • 1/2 cup (80g) currants
  • 1/2 cup (95g) mixed peel
  • 1/2 cup (65g) slivered almonds
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 2 tablespoons milk, extra
  • Icing

  • 1 cup (150g) pure icing sugar
  • 1-2 teaspoons warm water
