Ingredients

  • 12 ounces broccoli florets (from about 2 average-sized bunches), cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 4 tablespoon olive oil
  • 3/4 pound sweet Italian sausage, casings removed
  • 3/4 pound orecchiette pasta, or substitute another short pasta such as penne
  • 4 cloves garlic, peeled and sliced
  • Salt to taste
  • 8 oil-packed sun-dried tomatoes, sliced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh thyme leaves, roughly chopped
  • Juice of 1/2 a lemon
  • 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese
  • 3 scallions, both white and light green parts, thinly sliced
