Asparagus Lasagna

Ingredients

  • 3 pounds fresh asparagus, trimmed and cut into 1 inch pieces
  • 1/3 cup butter or margarine
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 5 cups milk
  • 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, cubed
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon grated lemon peel
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 12 lasagna noodles, cooked and drained
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/3 cup shredded Parmesan cheese

Description

I Received This Recipe From My Mother, Who Lives In An Area Known For Its Fine Asparagus. You Can Assemble To Casserole The Night Before And Refrigerate. Just Remove It From The Refrigerator 30 Minutes Before Baking.
