- 1 cup Masoor dhal (red lentils), rinsed, drained
- 8 cups chicken broth
- 1 tablespoon tamarind concentrate
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 2 cups coconut milk
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro
