Ingredients
- For the stuffed pork chops:
- 2 boneless all natural pork chops
- a few slices day old bakery bread, crust removed, cut into small cubes
- fresh sage and thyme
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1/4 cup onions, finely chopped
- 1 stalk celery, finey chopped
- 6 button mushrooms, finely chopped
- splash of cream
- kosher salt (I used Penzey's seasoned sea salt) and fresh ground black pepper to taste
- For the sauteed apples:
- 2 Granny Smith apples
- 1 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- pinch ground nutmeg
- 1/4 teaspoon fresh orange zest
