Crab Cake Sliders With Avocado Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
  • 1 celery stalk, very finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon sweet red bell pepper, peeled and very finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoons Best Foods mayonnaise
  • 1 egg, lightly beaten
  • ½ cup fresh bread crumbs (I used one mini brioche bun, crust removed, run thru food processor)
  • ½ lb. fresh Dungeness crab meat
  • 1 tablespoon each fresh chopped chives & parsley
  • Cajun spice seasoning, to taste
  • All purpose flour, for dusting
  • oil & butter, for pan frying
  • 4 miniature brioche buns
  • Sauce:
  • 3 tablespoons Best Foods mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon sweet pickle relish
  • A little fresh squeezed lemon juice
  • Sugar, to taste
  • Toppings:
  • 1 medium ripe avocado, sliced (squeeze lemon juice on slices to prevent browning)
  • 4 small inner leaves of red leaf lettuce (or other lettuce/mixed greens)
  • 4 lemon wedges, for garnish
