  • 2 lb lean beef, diced
  • 2 T flour

  • 5 c beef stock
  • 1 c pale ale
  • 1 t salt
  • 1 t dried marjoram
  • 1/2 t dried mint
  • 2 c chopped fresh spinach
  • 1 lb asparagus, cleaned, snapped & chopped into 1 inch pieces
  • 1 t sugar
  • salt & pepper to taste
