Shrimp Stir-fry With Black Bean Beer Sauce Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1/3 cup beer (any ale)
  • 2 tbsp. mushroom soy sauce (can be substituted for any other dark soy sauce)
  • 2 tbsp. honey
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp. olive OR vegetable oil
  • 1 medium sweet bell pepper (any color), seeded and sliced into strips
  • 1 1/2 cups fresh snow peas (or green beans), OR 1 pkge frozen, defrosted
  • 1 1/2 cups thinly sliced or shredded carrots
  • 1 1/2 lbs raw shrimp, tails off and deveined
  • 1 (15 oz ) can of black beans, rinsed and drained
  • 1/4 cup fresh chopped chives OR scallions
  • 1 tbsp. cornstarch
  • 1 tbsp. cold water

Description

Not Sure If This Qualifies As An Asian Dish, Since It Has Beer, But Has A Very Unique And Palatable Flavor To It. Beer Really Enhances The Sauce, Making It Taste More Like A Rich Gravy. Even My Kids Eat This.
