Armenian Lahmajun Recipe


  • For the dough
  • dried yeast
  • sugar
  • Lukewarm water
  • flour
  • salt
  • olive oil
  • For the topping
  • ground beef (or lamb)
  • olive oil
  • onions
  • garlic
  • tomatoes peeled, seeded, and blended
  • mild boukovo (Greek red chili flakes)
  • sweet paprika
  • chili pepper
  • Finely-chopped fresh parsley
  • salt to taste
  • Freshly-ground black pepper to taste
  • For the top: juice of 1 lemon
