Ingredients

  • tbsp. olive oil
  • 1 chopped medium yellow onion
  • 6 minced cloves garlic
  • 1/8 tsp red pepper flakes
  • 2 chopped carrots
  • 4 medium roma (plum) tomatoes,
  • 1 (15 ounce) can artichoke hearts, drained and quartered
  • 1 (15.5 ounce) can garbanzo beans, drain
  • 1 quart low-sodium chicken broth
  • 1 tbsp chopped fresh sage
  • hot sauce(use to taste)
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • salt and pepper to taste
