Whole Wheat Spaetzle With Turkey Kielbasa & Roasted Asparagus Recipe

Ingredients

  • for the spaetzle:
  • 1 cup whole wheat flour
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 eggs
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 2 tbsp salt
  • 1 tbsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp freshly ground black pepper & nutmeg
  • for the asparagus:
  • 1 bundle of asparagus (about 30 spears)
  • garlic powder, sea salt, freshly ground black pepper
  • splash of lemon juice
  • olive oil
  • for the rest:
  • 1 turkey kielbasa sausage, sliced into rounds
  • 1/2 cup dry white wine
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1 medium yellow onion, sliced
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • leaves of a few sprigs fresh thyme
  • freshly ground black pepper
  • shredded parmesan, for garnish
  • a handful fresh chopped parsley, for garnish

Description

Spaetzle Is A Small German Dumpling, Similar In Texture To The Italian Gnocchi. I Created A Sauce For The Spaetzle From The Kielbasa And Some White Wine & Chicken Broth. Definitely A Feel-good Dinner..
