- Two cups of liquid - I used a bottle of beer and made up the difference with clam stock/juice - use what you want (white wine, stock or even water)
- 1 (14-ounce) can chicken broth
- 3/4 cup half-and-half
- 3/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup regular grits
- 3/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese (I used sharp)
- 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1/2 teaspoon hot sauce
- 1/4 teaspoon ground black or white pepper
- 4 bacon slices
- 1 pound medium-size shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup sliced mushrooms
- 1/2 cup chopped scallions
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1/2 cup low-sodium, fat-free chicken broth
- 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
- 1/4 teaspoon hot sauce
- lemon wedges

I Decided To Wing Dinner With The Ingredients I Had On Hand. Being A Southern Gal, I Adore Grits And Particuarly Cheesy Grits. What Would Pair Better With Those Than Luscious Shrimp, Mushrooms, Scallions And Bacon? I Used A Combo Of Beer And Clam Broth
