- 2 lbs lean ground beef ( I used 1 lb ground pork and 1 lb ground turkey)
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1 cup crushed cornflakes
- 1/2 cup applesauce
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 1 clove garlic, crushed
- 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
- Freshley ground pepper
- 1 medium onion, finely chopped
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1/4 cup flour
- 1/3 cup tomato paste
- 1/4 cup chili sauce or catsup
- 3 cups beef bouillon or broth
- 2 tablespoons beef concentrate
- 1 tablespoon worcestershire sauce
- 2 tablespoons chopped parsley
- 1 clove garlic, crushed
- 1 bay leaf
- 1 teaspoon basil
- 4 peppercorns
- 12-14 button-size mushrooms
- 1/2 cup dry white wine ( I used red b/c I was out of white)
