- for the polenta
- 4 quarts water
- 3 &1/2 cups ground cornmeal
- 2 tbsp salt
- for the meat sauce
- 1 lb ground turkey, thawed
- 1 large yellow onion, diced
- 1 bell pepper, diced (any color will do)
- 2 medium carrots, peeled & diced
- 2 celery stalks, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- splash of white wine
- 3/4 cup water
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- olive oil
- 1 tbsp fresh chopped rosemary
- 1 tbsp fresh thyme leaves
- 1 bay leaf
- 1 tsp nutmeg
- salt & ground black pepper, to taste

Polenta Is A Creamy Italian Staple, That Can Be Served In Its Porridge-like State, Or It Can Be Firmed Up And Fried In Patties. I Served It With A Ground Turkey Sauce Full Of Veggies :)
