Polenta Two Ways With Turkey-veggie Sauce Recipe

Ingredients

  • for the polenta
  • 4 quarts water
  • 3 &1/2 cups ground cornmeal
  • 2 tbsp salt
  • for the meat sauce
  • 1 lb ground turkey, thawed
  • 1 large yellow onion, diced
  • 1 bell pepper, diced (any color will do)
  • 2 medium carrots, peeled & diced
  • 2 celery stalks, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • splash of white wine
  • 3/4 cup water
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • olive oil
  • 1 tbsp fresh chopped rosemary
  • 1 tbsp fresh thyme leaves
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1 tsp nutmeg
  • salt & ground black pepper, to taste

Description

Polenta Is A Creamy Italian Staple, That Can Be Served In Its Porridge-like State, Or It Can Be Firmed Up And Fried In Patties. I Served It With A Ground Turkey Sauce Full Of Veggies :)
