- 1 cup chopped oinions
- 1 TBSP. finely minced garlic
- 2 (28-oz.) cans plum tomatoes, crushed
- 2 TBSP. tomato paste
- 1 teasp. dried basil
- 1/2 teasp. dried oregano
- 1/8 teasp. red-pepper flakes or to taste
- salt and freshly ground pepper to taste
- 2 TBSP.chopped fresh flat leaf parsley
- cooked penne pasta...12-oz

- use the oil from the artichokes for the extra flavor
