- 1/2lb uncooked pasta(preferably penne, rotini, etc)
- 1lb sausage, ground beef or chicken(ground or diced)
- olive oil
- 1 onion, diced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 12oz fresh mushrooms, sliced
- 3-4 cups pasta sauce(either leftover homemade or your favorite jarred variety)
- 6-8oz sliced provolone, mozzarella or muenster cheese(can used shredded,, if that's what you've got :)
- fresh Italian herbs, if available...basil, oregano, parsley
