Indian Burger Recipe

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds all natural ground turkey, shaped into 6 burgers (for moister burgers, a mix of white & dark meat)
  • 6 slices fresh pineapple, cored
  • cucumber & Tomato chutney (recipe follows)
  • mango Curry Sauce (recipe follows)
  • Romaine, thinly sliced
  • 2 Tbs. olive oil for brushing buns
  • 6 Brioche or good quality hamburger buns
  • Kosher or sea salt
  • Freshly ground pepper
  • 1/2 english cucumber, quartered lengthwise, seeded & thinly sliced
  • 1/2 pint grape tomatoes, halved
  • 1/2 small red onion, halved & thinly sliced
  • 1 Tbs. fresh mint, finely chopped
  • 1 jalapeno, seeded & finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup fresh lime juice
  • 1 Tbs. sugar
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1/2 cup Mango Chutney- medium hot
  • 1/2 cup Greek yogurt
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tsp. curry powder
  • 1 Tbs. fresh cilantro leaves, finely chopped
  • 1 tsp fresh ginger, finely minced
  • 1 tsp fresh lemon juice
